AJ and Lauren’s Hamptons wedding was an intimate affair that was a long time in the making! In 2021 AJ and Lauren had a baby shower for their little girl and surprised their guests with an impromptu wedding where Lauren’s dad joined them in marriage. The couple decided they wanted to have a wedding after their daughter was born, so a year later, they had an intimate 15 person wedding to celebrate their love and the beginning of married life.
Intimate Hamptons Wedding
AJ grew up spending his summers in the Hamptons with his family. When Lauren came into the picture, they began spending all of their summers together there as well. Since the Hamptons has meant so much to them, they knew they wanted to celebrate their love there. Before the ceremony, we went around Sag Harbor and took some photos at the couple’s favorite spots including on the pier and in front of Sag Harbor Cinemas. It was so fun getting to see their personality shine through in those photos!
Quaint Church Ceremony
For the ceremony, the couple exchanged vows in a church ceremony in Sag Harbor. Lauren wore a form-fitting modern lace gown with a lace trimmed veil. AJ wore a blue suit with a Speed Racer tie which was a nod to one of his favorite TV shows. Both the engagement rings and wedding bands were their grandparents rings, so that added a sentimental touch to their vows.
Hamptons Wedding Reception
Their Hamptons wedding reception was held at a community space in Sag Harbor. The couple had one long table for their immediate family to join them at. The table had simple, yet elegant, place settings and beautiful pink and white floral arrangements that added a pop of color.
Sunset Photos
During the reception, we snuck away and took some sunset photos – the lighting was amazing! Lauren and the bridesmaids put on the cutest pink cateye sunglasses so we got some great shots of them posing together. We also got some good shots of Lauren and AJ wearing the sunglasses which were some of my favorite photos from the day. After that, the couple spent the evening filled with tacos, tequila, and creating memories with their family.
