Let’s be real, starting a photography business (or just business in general) is hard work. If you are looking for a fun career, you found a good one! But if you are looking for an easy career, keep looking.

If you are anything like me then you have a heart and passion for seeing the world. And if you are a photographer then you most likely are dying to do a session in these exotic locations and capture pretty people in pretty places! I mean, it’s a no brainier that taking even just an hour out of your explorations to build your portfolio with new, out of this world content will definitely pay off in the long run!

Ok, so it is literally 11pm and I have just had a full day of education and fun form the lovely Hope Taylor! I usually wait a few days to do recaps, but some strange pull has me wanting to write down every emotion, every feeling and fresh perspective I have in this moment.

This is something I feel so passionately about. What defines our success? What makes us successful? I truly went looking for a definition to try and figure it out. No where in this definition did I find anything related to having thousands of Instagram followers or a minimum for how many weddings a photographer should shoot per year.
