March 21, 2023

Sarah and Manny decided to have a Mexico destination wedding since that’s where Manny’s family is from. The day was full of sentiment from the city itself to every last hug or dance shared on the dance floor. It was such a beautiful day and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it!

Mexico Destination Wedding at Hacienda Amazcala

Sarah and Manny had their Mexico destination wedding at Hacienda Amazcala. The venue is one of the oldest haciendas in the area. It has the most beautiful gardens and architecture which were both a dream to shoot. Sarah got ready in one of the private rooms that had beautiful terra cotta tile and stucco walls. She wore a form-fitting laser cut lace dress that very much had a destination wedding vibe to it. Sarah carried a gorgeous bouquet of red and orange flowers with succulents tucked into it. Manny wore a classic tan suit with a light blue tie which looked great against the vibrant colors of the reception.

Sentimental First Look with Dad

Before the ceremony, Sarah had a first look with her dad. We found a secluded spot that had beautiful wooden doors and ivy growing up the building, so it made for gorgeous photos. This was a sweet moment as Sarah considers herself a daddy’s girl. Having that special moment together before the ceremony was really meaningful to them.

Surprise Mariachi Band

Manny’s mom walked down the aisle with thim. It was very emotional, as the rehearsal dinner was the first time Manny had seen his mom since the pandemic started (over 3 years ago). Seeing her walk down the aisle with him was really special. The couple exchanged vows outdoors in one of the gardens surrounded by their closest family and friends. Upon their exit, they were serenaded by a mariachi band which was a surprise to the couple from their uncle Pepe. After the ceremony, we walked around the venue to get some amazing photos of the couple and their wedding party. I couldn’t get over how vibrant the gardens were and how intricate the architecture was!

Colorful Reception Details

Sarah and Manny’s Mexico destination wedding reception was truly one of a kind. The intimate reception was held under a white tent and was filled with the most vibrant colors. The tables had floral arrangements full of red, orange, and pink flowers along with unique touches like pampas grass, artichokes, fan leaves, and more. The couple chose blue glass stemware, the most stunning blue and white talavera plates, and yellow and blue napkins to add contrast. The rustic wooden chairs and tables added another gorgeous touch to the reception. The overall effect was breathtaking!

Celebrating the Couple

Sarah and Manny enjoyed the toasts from their family members and a few tears were shed. It was beautiful to see the blended families (both sides are divorced) come together to just celebrate them as a couple. After that it was time for dancing! Sarah and Manny had a blast dancing with all of their guests and celebrating their love. I loved getting to be a part of the Manny and Sarah’s day!
