Okay, if there’s ever been proof that anniversary photos in St. Augustine don’t have to be overly posed or Pinterest-perfect to be meaningful, it’s this session! Jordan and Nick invited me back to the place where they said “I do” the family farm he works on full-time, where she helps out on the weekends, and where their love just lives. Nick famously does not love being in front of the camera, but somehow, this time around? It felt easy. It felt fun. And now, they’re planning to make this little tradition an every-year thing. Just wait until you see how relaxed, personal, and joy-filled their photos turned out!

A Session That Felt Like Them

There’s something about walking through wildflowers with your person that brings out the kind of smiles you can’t fake. Jordan and Nick were so clearly in their element, her in a breezy periwinkle sundress, him in a simple tee and jeans, both barefoot-in-spirit and belly-laughing through the session. We didn’t rush. We didn’t overly pose. They picked flowers. They chased each other through the grass. There were messy hair moments and soft, quiet ones too! The kind of session that felt like a deep exhale. No pressure, just presence.

From Flower Fields to Chicken Cuddles

One of my favorite parts? Their golden chickens. Yes, actual chickens. The kind that get cradled like family pets and carried right into frame without hesitation. It was the most unexpected little detail and somehow, so them. We wandered past the wildflowers toward the barn and ended the shoot on the old farm truck, laughing in denim and sneakers. It was casual and nostalgic in the best way, like flipping through old home videos with a fresh coat of sunlight!
