Maria and Doug’s love story is one of those heartwarming stories that feels just like destiny! The two met through Doug’s sister, Allison, who worked with Maria as a nurse. Maria & Doug’s Dreamy Beach Wedding Day

Maria and Doug’s wedding was filled with personal touches that honored their families and their love story! One standout detail was the blue bracelet featured in the wedding detail photos. This bracelet was not any piece of jewelry, it was Maria’s father’s baby bracelet from 1952, all the way from Japan! Maria also wore a necklace her father had gifted her mother when they made the life-changing decision to adopt Maria. These sentimental pieces added an extra layer of meaning to their special day, making it truly unforgettable.

Family has always been central to Maria’s life, and this was beautifully reflected in her wedding day. A few years ago, I had the privilege of being a second photographer at Maria’s brother’s wedding. At that time, her brother dedicated a father-daughter dance to Maria and her dad because her father was very ill. He wanted to make sure that Maria had her special moment with their dad. At Maria’s wedding, she chose to honor this tradition by dedicating a similar moment to her younger sister, Juliette. It was a very emotional and heartfelt gesture, and there wasn’t a single dry eye in the room!! Moments like these remind us of the incredible love and connection that weddings bring out in families.
