If you’ve learned anything from my blog yet, it should probably be that I am a huge sap. And with that comes a love for writing, a love for expressing my feelings and finding deeper meanings and a love for finding a lesson in everything. I think that’s why I love travel so much, because I always learn something in the end. Before this trip I really started to think about my business and how it was affecting my life. Of course this thought began while in a car (that’s important to know for before I begin this metaphor).

As some of you know, I recently just shot my first destination wedding. Before even shooting this wedding I knew that this would be one I would feel passionately about. A wedding that would make my heart rate speed up and make happy tears free fall. Because of this, I decided to share WHY! Why are destination weddings so important to me? Why do I want to branch out and start shooting more destination weddings?

Last week I had the opportunity to travel with Karena Dixon Photography to shoot a wedding in Charleston, SC! Karena has always been a huge influence in my life and is an even bigger influence when it comes to photography. I mean she did teach me photography (hence why I call her photo mom).
